Kent Franklin
Director of Product and Process Development
Kent is a Process Engineering professional with over 20 years of experience leading process and product development teams. His proven track record includes improving products, reducing waste, and increasing productivity, consistent with the corporate profit strategy. Kent is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Licensed Professional Engineer with 11 patents granted and more pending. His experience includes product and process development, quality improvement, cost savings, Lean – Toyota Production System, intellectual property, and project management.
Prior to joining Innovationedge, Kent was a Research Technical Leader at Kimberly Clark where he held various positions in Product and Technology Development and Product Supply. His responsibilities included developing and deploying Six Sigma and Lean problem solving strategies, leading teams to identify and solve complex product and productivity problems, and lead process development for new products.
Kent earned a Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University and a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Chemistry from Valparaiso University.
