Roy Luebke

Roy is an innovation leader with more than 25 years of leadership experience in product management, strategic marketing, and business development. He is an expert at using structured innovation planning techniques to discover, analyze and interpret user-centered insights and create disruptive new products and services. His unique blend of portfolio planning with innovation practices to create business value by maximizing product and service offerings, business models, business processes and brand equity enables companies to deliver outstanding consumer & customer experiences.

As a strategic business professional, Roy comes to Innovationedge from the Bureau of National Affairs’ in Washington, D.C., where he led a successful business turnaround directing marketing and business strategy for several products addressing the needs of corporate and individual tax planning experts.

Roy earned his Master of Design Methods (MDM) in Structured Innovation Planning from the Institute of Design in Chicago. His leadership in product and service development for Fortune 50, as well as start-up ventures has helped shape innovation and business strategy for a variety of global technology companies including WebMD, Acxiom, Visionair and Formscape, to name a few. Most recently he led a user-centered research consulting engagement for Magellan GPS.

Not only does Roy bring in-depth understanding of customer need and market trend evaluations to the Innovationedge team, he leverages his marketing research and business strategy planning skills to help clients systematically implement innovation tools, planning methodologies and processes across their organizations to foster profitable, organic growth.

Recently, Roy completed advanced studies in innovation and strategic planning at the prestigious Institute of Design at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, where he focused on methods and frameworks for leading innovation and strategy teams. Roy’s Innovation Exchange project was recently published in Business Week’s Inside Innovation. Roy earned his MBA from the University of Maryland and Bachelor’s in Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin.
